Devin Michael-Richard Stuckey was born on May 18, 1982, in Washington D.C., to Carolyn Gray Stuckey and the late Ronald E. Stuckey. He is and will always be the little brother of Madessa P. Stuckey(Big Sis). Devin in hist toddler years moved from Washington, D.C. to Prince George’s County, Maryland with his family.
In his infancy, Devin was christened at Brightwood Park United Methodist Church in Washington, D.C. His Christian tutelage was furthered at Gethsemane United Methodist Church through his high school years. In childhood, Devin was a track runner, a Boy Scout, a practitioner of Taekwondo, and an avid church volunteer. All who met him admired and adored his sweet smile and gentle spirit.
He attended Prince George’s County Schools and was a graduate of Suitland High School, graduating in the Class of 2000. He was a student in the constuction strand that assisted in building Charles Hubert Flowers High School in Springdale, Maryland. Devin then set his sights on his dream job of becoming a barber (like his grandfather). Devin attended Bladensburg Barber School and began working at Paul’s Barber Shop, then Largo One Barber Shop, and then Andrews One Barber Shop serving his community with his patient and precise barbering skills.
Devin received awards for his volunteerism as barber for the senior citizens at Helping Hand Adult Day Services in Capitol Heights, Md. He was a member of the Brigadier General Charles G. McGhee POST 341, in Washington D.C., and assisted his mother in delivering food to senior citizens during COVID for Brightwood Park United Methodist Church.
